VELJE BRDO - BLOCK A1

Conceptual Urban-Architectural Design of Block A1 | Phase 1 3rd Prize, International Competition This project establishes a sustainable Mediterranean model for the first phase of the Velje Brdo development in Podgorica. The design organizes the neighborhood into two parallel urban bands, framing a continuous green interior that serves as the spatial and social core of the settlement. A continuous podium acts as the primary mediator, adapting the architecture to the sloped terrain while balancing infrastructure with residential life. This central landscape connects public plazas and pedestrian routes, creating a transition between public and private domains. Through its integration of mobility and landscape, Block A1 functions as a prototype for the future development of the district.
