SUBURBIA METAMORPHOSED

2026

(Re)constructing the Grands Ensembles Series of Architectural Photography Collages This series investigates architectural photography as a medium of construction rather than mere representation. By fragmenting the monumental forms of Créteil and Noisy-le-Grand, the work seeks to define a process of reconstruction—a conceptual space where photography renders architecture present by manipulating its reality. The built environment is deconstructed and re-assembled into a mosaic to create a new, two-dimensional spatial object. This metamorphosis establishes a distance from the original time and space, allowing the viewer to move beyond simple observation to truly see the building. Ultimately, the images do not simply describe the site but combine the materialized idea of the object with a new, photographic experience of space.
